The Quadrilingual Academy is fully licensed (through Bright from the Start) and accredited (by the Georgia Accrediting Commission) for students through the 5th grade, and plan to grow the program through at least the 3rd grade.
The program offers children instruction in French, Spanish, Chinese, and English. Unlike most programs that ask families to pick a language track, The Quad strives to make children lifelong learners of all four languages.
Students entering Kindergarten need to be 5 years old by August 31st.
Elementary Curriculum (Kindergarten-Third Grade)
The Quadrilingual Academy’s elementary program serves students from Kindergarten through 3rd grade. We are a multilingual school, teaching academic content in Spanish, French, Chinese, and English. The Quadrilingual Academy strives to make lifelong learners of all four languages. To achieve this goal, students will spend and average of 2.5 hours in their homeroom classroom, and 1 hour – 1.5 hours in each of the other languages at the elementary level. In addition, students will attend Physical Education, Technology, and Library class time in French and Art and Music in Spanish during the week.
The homeroom languages for each elementary grade level are as follows:
Kindergarten– Chinese
1st Grade– Spanish
2nd Grade– French
3rd Grade– English
Students entering Kindergarten are required to demonstrate proficiency in all of the languages taught. Due to space limitations, priority enrollment will be offered to children graduating from our Pre-K 4 program with language proficiency and some level of fluency in Spanish, French, English, and Chinese.
As an IB PYP candidate school, we utilize the IB PYP Scope and Sequence in conjunction with the GA Standards of Excellence when planning for instruction. In some cases, our students may work ahead of the grade level guidelines outlined by the state of Georgia due to the rigorous nature of the IB framework.
